The House Appropriations Committee will shortly be voting on amendments to curb the government's war on medical marijuana.   Rep. Sam Farr (D-Monterey) is pushing  an amendment to the DC appropriations bill that would repeal the Congressional veto of DC's medical marijuana law.  The effort is supported by Rep. Maurice Hinchey (NY), Nancy Pelosi (SF), and others.

***A committee vote is expected soon.

(Another amendment may be proposed later on, if and when the Justice  Dept appropriations bill comes up, to cut off DEA funding for medical marijuana raids).
